Tickets must be purchased 9 months in advance, but even then the exact starting date and time of the show is TBD and completely at the producer's discretion. (Will most likely be held between the hours of 1 and 4 A.M., or right when your partner is going on a business trip.)
Sing along to such famous parenthood classics as:
- "Whistle While You Clean Up Poop"
- "The Music of the Night (Please, Go To Sleep)"
- "Memory: I Know I Came In Here For Something"
You won't really know what the show is like until you get there, but that's parenthood for you. If you'd like to pretend you know what you're getting yourself into before purchasing tickets, please see our featured audience reviews:

★★☆☆☆ NOT AT ALL WHAT I EXPECTED
Roger from Philadelphia
"I was told this would be the most fulfilling experience of my life, but most of the show was just looking for missing shoes and yelling about being late."

★★★★★ PARENTHOOD IS THE BEST
Christine from Seattle
"Two thumbs up and I would definitely go again! Although when I say I've already seen it 3 times, people usually raise an eyebrow and say 'Better you than me' or 'You know where those tickets come from, don't you?'"

★★★★☆ EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER
Erica from Detroit
"Went from literally crying tears of boredom at the tedious parts to sobbing on my husband's shoulder because I didn't want it to end. This happened several times throughout the show."

Kevin from New York City
"I've never heard anyone belt it out as long and as loud as the cast of this show. When I think about how they manage to do this same performance night after night... I'm absolutely dumbfounded."

★★★☆☆ CONFUSED
Jocelyn from San Antonio
"When I first heard about Parenthood: The Musical! I was really excited to see it. The concept of the show was dynamite, but the cast seemed to have little interest in following the script or any of the stage directions given to them. I had no clue what was going on. Perhaps they could give us some kind of manual at the start of the show??"
Critics can't quite agree on what exactly Parenthood: The Musical! is, but it's guaranteed to be one crazy ride. Get your tickets* today!

Your posts always crack me up! I'm dying over here.
Very funny post! I've been in this production for 10 1/2 looong years that have flown past!
GREAT. POST!
Chaun from Utah rates "Parenthood: The Musical" at 4/5
There was a surprising amount of screaming in the places where we thought there should be singing. Example: the Bedtime Lullaby scene when Daddy puts baby to bed and the Church Hymnals scene when Mommy forced baby to sit in her lap during Sacrament. The main child actress was a lot cuter than predicted though, so that gives the show an extra star.
Oh my goodness! You are absolutely the best, Jenny! So glad I found you!!
Grandparenthood: The Musical, is a great sequel! Allows for more sleep, though!
Here here PurpleSlob InRecovery!!
I like the"price will not be disclosed until you're already committed to buy"
This is funny! Parenthood: not at all what you expected, but you'll be glad you went to see it!
Ha ha love this! Price of tickets cannot be divulged until you've committed to buying - too right!
Hilarious and way too creative! I always say our life needs background music and moments of breaking into song. My kids aren't very fond of my "it's all about that spank, about that spank, your in trouble." Hehehe. #thetruthabout
I just found a new favorite song!
Too right!
This is absolutely brilliant, love it :)
Love this Jenny! You always hit the nail on the head and have such a great way with analogies and parodies. Thanks for linking up to #thetruthabout
I can't wait for that one! I heard there are intermissions at that one so it's not quite so exhausting.
Those scenes were a little hard to watch for me, too. But like you said, the main character is always so cute that the audience will forgive just about anything.
Hilarious...love it! As a huge fan of musical theater, I hopped right over from SHINE. So glad I did! :)
Snort laughing over here!
Quite frankly, if parenting were a Broadway musical, I wouldn't be a parent because I HATE musicals.
This was awesome (love the mock reviews). You're so clever.
Thanks for sharing (and for linking up to the #SHINEbloghop).
Wishing you a lovely day.

This is very clever! And so funny!
Haha! Absolutely spot on!
